CuSO4 Process Flow
Pure Metallic Copper in wire form is oxidized at controlled temperature in the presence of dilute copper sulphate solution. The resulting intermediate copper ionic solution is subsequently oxidized by concentrated sulfuric acid. The oxidation performed in the controlled conditions, efficiently eliminating any impurity during the dissoultion. The process eventually generates a hot and concentrated copper sulphate solution. Upon cooling, crystallizing out copper sulphate pentahydrate, the crystals are then seperated from mother liquid by centrifugation and then dried, sized and packed. The mother liquid is then recycled and reused.
